About
Hi, I’m Brie Gonzalez (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and relational trauma therapist.
I specialize in helping adults who feel stuck in cycles of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-doubt, especially those carrying the weight of complex trauma. My clients often experience eating responses (i.e. a complicated relationship with food and/or body image concerns), chronic anxiety, struggles in interpersonal relationships, and a deep desire to heal and move on from the pain they’ve lived through. Many describe feeling anxious, disconnected, or like they’re constantly performing for others while losing sight of themselves. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
In therapy, I show up as a real person first, warm, steady, and gently curious. My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I believe healing begins in safe, attuned relationships, and my role is to create the kind of space where your story can unfold at your pace. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening now with care for what’s happened before, helping you understand the patterns that keep you stuck, while reconnecting to the parts of you that are resilient, wise, and worthy of the life you want to live.
I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), am Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed, and am currently training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), all approaches that support deep, integrative healing from complex and developmental trauma. Our work will be trauma-informed, somatic (body-aware), and guided by what feels meaningful and manageable to you.
Still Within Therapy is a fully virtual practice, so our sessions happen from the comfort of your own space. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin working with me, just a little curiosity and a willingness to show up. I’ll meet you there.
